Award and new publication

Our laboratory has achieved another distinguished honor, largely due to the diligence and brilliance of Rifat Alam, one of our PhD candidates. Guided by Dr. Andiara Schwingel, Rifat has earned the highly coveted Doolen Graduate Scholarship for the Study of Aging for 2022/2023. This prestigious award is a testament to Rifat’s dedication to dementia and aging research. We are also glad to share her recent publication in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease: The Moderating Role of Race and Ethnicity in the Association Between Cognitive Performance and Functional Abilities in Later Life.
