Congratulations to our Spring 2025 graduates!

Ashli Childs

This is Ashli Childs, she majored in Community Health concentrating in Health Education and Promotion, and the course she enjoyed most was CHLH 409: Women’s Health. She has a primary interest in studying health inequities and disparities in women’s health and studying the health outcomes of Black women, who are affected by these inequities. 

Jason Betancourt

This is Jason, a Community Health major with a concentration in Rehabilitation. He is a first-generation college student from Chicago, Illinois, and spent his final semester contributing to the Aging and Diversity Lab through translating educational materials into Spanish to improve accessibility for low-literacy audiences. His work helped ensure underserved communities could benefit from health education resources.

Babatope Ayokunle Ogunjesa

Meet Dr Babatope Ogunjesa (aka Kunle).  Kunle holds a  PhD  in Community Health and his  passion lies at the intersection of health service utilization and caregiving research. His doctoral work  explored how machine learning (ML) can be leveraged to better understand patterns in health service use, paving the way for more responsive and equitable care support. Driven by curiosity and a deep commitment to public health innovation, Kunle also finds joy in traveling and connecting with diverse communities. He is now preparing to embark on an exciting new chapter as a postdoctoral fellow at  the University of Illinois, College of Medicine, Peoria where he looks forward to expanding his research impact and contributing to meaningful health system change.
